Appointment booking
The process for making an Appointment Booking is slightly different for new patients and returning patients.
Dr Renaut is happy to undertake in person consultations, or TeleHealth consultations (where appropriate). Be sure to communicate to our admin staff when making an appointment if TeleHealth is preferred.
All patients should ensure their medical history is up-to-date.
A valid GP or specialist referral is required to make an appointment with Dr Andrew Renaut.
Appointment cancellation
If you are late, or otherwise unable to attend your set appointment time, please advise us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not advise us with sufficient notice a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged at rebooking.
Preparation for your consultation
If you are seeing Dr Renaut for any anorectal conditions (fissure, fistula, incontinence, haemorrhoids, abscess, haematoma or rectal bleeding), it is essential that you administer 1 x Microlax Enema 1 to 1.5 hours prior to your appointment. This will ensure that your bowels are completely empty for the consultation. Microlax enemas can be purchased from any chemist for no more than $5 each.
What to bring to your consultation
- Medicare and Private Health Insurance documentation (Medicare Card, Insurance Card etc).
- A valid referral letter from your GP or referring specialist (or ensure that a referral has been sent to us directly).
- All x-rays, scans, pathology or test results relating to your problem.
